AS A GROWN MAN:
He is generally nasty as a person:
On the rare occasions when we Snape relating to anybody outside Harry's class, we glimpse a reasonably pleasant persona. He doesn't often express emotion (except anger and bitterness) openly but his gestures are "tells": we see him clutch at the chair-back when he hears that Ginny has been taken, and whiten at Harry's memory of Cedric's death.
We know that he is, in fact, an emotional person, not a cold one: during both the Occlumency lessons and Slughorn's party
I am very much enjoying browsing this site. There are some extremely talented artists in the world and I'm discovering some very beautiful artwork. Post-Deathly Hallows I have been looking up a lot of Snape art. It's good to see that my of my hunches/hopes was proved correct.
I'm now branching out to look at some of the Howl's Moving Castle out there. The book by Diana Wynne Jones has long been a favorite of mine (5th grade) and I very much enjoyed the film version that was produced years later. Not exactly how I pictured them, though.... (it's a very British-feeling aka Harry Potter-ish book... before such a thing existed. I do love the ani
